I have known about Weston Price for a long time. Back in my med school days I found out about him and his pioneering work in nutrition. A dentist by trade, he travelled around the world, visiting indigenous peoples and looking at their teeth. He noticed that people who were living and eating local foods that grew in season and had no contact with mass produced foods had straight, cavity free teeth and almost no incidence of the diseases that are endemic in the first world. Diabetes, heart disease, obesity. It was only once processed foods were introduced into the diet that problems developed.

His book – Nutrition and Physical Degeneration is one of the most important books on nutrition ever written.

Here is an article reviewing it. Check it out.
